Job Description

AFRY Advanced Automation in Borlänge is part of AFRY's commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable automation solutions to the industry. We work closely with our clients to create efficient, safe, and future-proof systems that contribute to increased productivity and reduced environmental impact. Our team consists of dedicated specialists in automation, electrical design, mechanical design, and project management, and we offer a dynamic work environment where skill development and collaboration are at the center.

In the role of senior electrical designer, you will take overall responsibility for the electrical design in our projects, from concept phase to final delivery. You will be a key person in the project team, working to develop and ensure quality solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
In addition to the technical responsibility, you will also act as a sub-project manager, which means you will plan, coordinate, and follow up on the work within your area.
You will have close contact with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that timelines and budgets are maintained and contributing to the project being delivered with high quality.
The role combines technical expertise with leadership and communication, and you will have the opportunity to influence both details and the overall picture in our projects.

We are looking for someone who has solid experience in electrical design within industrial assignments and who is accustomed to working with various design tools and relevant standards.

You have experience in project management or sub-project management and enjoy taking responsibility, driving work forward, and creating structure. Your communication skills and interest in collaboration make you a good fit for our team. Requirements

Work experience:

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design within industrial processes or production facilities

Knowledge/Education:

• Relevant formal education in electrical engineering, electrical design, or power engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Good knowledge of documentation tools and the ability to manage and understand various customer requirements and documentation systems

Language skills:

• Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Desirable
Work experience:

• Experience working in project form, preferably in a leading role within industrial projects
• Experience in delegating tasks to junior team members in the project team
• Experience in automation projects related to industrial drive systems
• Process experience from steel and manufacturing industries as well as energy production

Education:

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, electrical design, or power engineering with an industrial focus

• Autocad Electrical
